Cultural Diversity – PowerTrain – Leadership Development, Personal Growth

Two of Eraia's most passionate areas are Kapahaka and Maori Tikanga. He picked up a challenge to attend the Mokoia Taiaha Wananga school holiday camp programme held on the famous island in Rotorua when he was just 9 years old and is still attending the camps today as a Tutor at the age of 28. Through these camps Eraia became immersed and fluent in his culture.

This year Eraia formed his own enterprise and named it “Cultural Solutions”. He thoroughly enjoys being a part of Team One as it gives him an opportunity to share his knowledge and experiences of his culture, of which he is very proud.

While at Rotorua High School , he gained the position of Head Boy and has travelled extensively around the world as a Cultural Ambassador and Performer for New Zealand .

Eraia Kiel is a man with many hats yet he has one focus, Manaaki Tangata or humanitarianism.

Eraia has come to Team One after 8 years of service with both the New Zealand police and the Ministry of Justice.

Eraia's immersion in Maori culture has developed him into a man who can wield Maori tikanga (correctness), with both tongue and with traditional weaponry.
